Banners waving in the daylight,
Egress the shadows of dark night.
As rabble-rousers to the fight,
Order the fray, “Attack, attack!”
The trumpets long and louder blare,
As angels pressing on declare,
How Heaven’s host that day will fare;
As the enemy of man falls back.
A sinner lost in sin’s dark tide,
Deep in prayer, evermore decides,
His life’s old course is set aside,
As hell’s best effort fades to black.
Among the ranks of common man,
God’s ensign must now make a stand.
To wrest God’s sons from Satan’s brand,
With battle cries of, “Bring them back!”
