I just discovered a wonderful news feed this morning. It’s called BNN. It doesn’t seem to have either a liberal or conservative bent and I don’t believe they support a party platform. They’re on the wire every morning by about 6 a.m. my time, and repeat the feed continually for probably at least two hours. The newscaster is named Robin. I receive the broadcast with windows, but my version is pretty old and I don’t believe you even need to have windows to receive it. You could open a door as well. The Beak News Network feed starts automatically about the break of day, almost every day right behind my house. Robin’s kind of flighty, but I can’t blame her. Sometimes it’s kind of dangerous to sit on a telephone wire. The network however, is faithful to its daily listeners.
The Heavens declare
The glory of God’s beauty
The works of His hands

YES. I am currently listening to that network, myself. Wonderful!
Thanks, Whimsygizmo. It’s a beautiful sound first thing in the morning. Before it even gets light out, I can hear them.
Busy little reporters, aren’t they? 😉 Good thing they’re actually fun to listen to…
It’s a good thing I’m not singing.
…and far more informative 😉
for sure
…and far more informative. 😉
I still have to hear them in the morning ~ Love the creative spin on BNN, a wonderful news feed indeed ~ Thanks for joining us for Haibun Monday Walter ~
Thanks Grace. It’s always a wonderful night at the pub!
Must say as a regular subscriber to BNN, I just love their news!! Am listening to mynahs and pigeons breaking news right now!
Yes thot, it’s the best news channel I’ve ever heard.
this is just the cutest thing!
i have to confess, it took me halfway through before I realized it was about a bird (haha).
thank you so much for this little read, totally made my night.
beak news…it’s the best, i agree!
thanks Miss Stacy.
I have one here as well and I love a good kookaburra chorus..
I used to listen to one that sounded like a loon, it was sad when I learned it’s name, “the common lesser nighthawk”😧
Oh here it’s the blackbirds and thrushes, but it’s a network of joy.. No political slant or slander…
They stay out of politics, just too transient for them
Oh, this is delightful! I will take the Robin News any day of the week!
For sure, always good news!
Thanks Magala
Blackbirds, robins, all birds. Love their chatter.
Great singers,thanks Petrujviljoen
… and broadcasters …
It’s a wonderful station. We receive it here, in the Lakes Region New Hampshire also. Clear and static free 🙂
Great station, thanks ZQ
Cardinals and woodpeckers rule the roost. Yet to hear the robins around here. Look forward to it.

Clever! I love this.

This is just lovely, Walter. Soothing, full of live and nature, singing with soul… Love how your poem dances with perspective and point of view, and the way it spins is a delight. Your haiku is extremely elating. Thanks for sharing. 🙂
Ha ha, very cheering.
Thanks Rosemary
Love that network, except for when they have juvenile crows on as morning guests.
No way to reason with crows
