No News is Better

It’s open link nite at the Dverse Lounge, so I’ve got fresh leftovers for you

Ticking Tocking, to the time,
Metro nomads; robots sway,
What we think,
What frames our day.
Molds us, shapes us,
Swings us, sways us.
Moving to the tune in play;
Feeds our jukebox either way

Nosey newsies far too shrewd,
Whose lies belie the light.
Wretched preachers,
Who would benight;
All those who watch
The news at night.
Can a leopard change her spots?
Tune in at six; connect the dots.

Grab remote, pick your version,
Give your hero their just due.
From left or right,
which way to view?
Allay fear today;
Bad days go away.
flush truth down the crapper;
You’re the trapper and the prey!

    Light take Walt though I hate the lies and superficiality of “news” these days ~ I appreciate a good investigative report and documentaries though ~ Make the bad days go away ~

    I agree with that title too. I’m one who avoids a good deal of the news because it’s pathetic and depressing and most importantly can I believe it? Your poem had an engaging pace and said plenty, Walt!

    When it comes to the bad days it’s a funny thing to see. One can be both the trapper and the prey such that confusion may result.
