Windy’s Voice

We’re doing quadrilles tonight at the dverse lounge. The subject is echo:

Whispering winds,
echo softly in the breeze.
Or ominous onslaughts,
Chide high atop the trees.
Will she be moody tonight?
Only the lonely winds know,
An opera in the badlands,
Elegies for the sad lands,
Brooding tempests down below?
Where will Windy’s voice blow?

I love the Moody melody and casual rhyme… just like the unpredictable windy breeze you describe.

  2. Olga says:

“An opera in the badlands” suggests much drama. Nature can be unpredictable. I felt your poetic plea for Windy’s voice to be less moody.
