Fragrant Fire

Here we are again in the Dverse Lounge. Victoria has challenged us to write a Quadrille, (poem of exactly 44 words). The word of the day is burn:

When Gods’ blazing Love ignited,
The offering of my life.
Then withal my heart decided,
To let His Cross consume my strife.

Flames alit a funeral pyre;
A sacrifice that set Him free,
To set and light revival fires,
His burning love ablaze in me!
