Bjorn is tending bar in the Dverse Lounge tonight. He has asked us to write a form called Via Negativa; a term which originally comes from Apophatic Theology and says that the divine can only be approached in terms of saying what a perfect God is not:
I didn’t die to ease your life
To fill your wallet
Or fix your wife
I wasn’t true so you could lie
Or turn away
But learn to die
I wasn’t mocked that you’d be safe
But sent a sword
So life would chafe
My blood was shed to set you free
For eagles soar
In liberty
Die to your flesh and live for Me
The cross you need
If you will be
The sons of God borne out of strife
The fight within you
A sign of life
Perfect!
Thanks Forever! 😁
This is so true to the way you can use the negative to affirm the message.
Yes indeed! I like to accentuate the positive better; and don’t mess with Mr. In between 😉
Perfectly done, Mark!
Thanks Jilly 😃!
I love “for eagles soar in liberty.” Wonderful, Frank!
Thanks Sherry, I’ve gotten the names wrong too. Thank God it’s been a while
Sorry. Not Frank. I am taking the Negativa too far! My apologies! Smiles.
